Our equine veterinary surgeons are available to talk to by phone Monday to Saturday 8.00 to 9.00am, to discuss any issues or concerns you have about your horse. Our equine vets team are dedicated to the welfare of all horses through their desire for knowledge and meticulous attention to veterinary detail. They are supported by an enthusiastic team at the equine clinic.
Philip Ivens
Philip Ivens MA VetMB CertEM (Int. Med.) Dip ECEIM MRCVS
Philip received a veterinary degree from Cambridge University in 2003. Working initially in a mixed / equine practice in Norfolk and Dorset, he then undertook an equine internal medicine residency at Equine Referral Hospital at the Royal Veterinary College in London where he gained the RCVS Certificate in Equine Internal Medicine. In 2011 he gained by examination the European Diploma in Equine Internal Medicine (DipECEIM) and became a European recognised specialist in Equine Internal Medicine.
Andrew Wallace
Andrew Wallace BSc BVSc CertEP MRCVS
Andrew graduated from Liverpool in 2003 with a Veterinary Science degree, having already obtained an Animal Science degree from Edinburgh. He then spent 3 months with animal charity SPANA in Morocco working with donkeys and mules, followed by 5½ years at a mixed practice near Lichfield pursuing an interest in equine clinical care and in 2007 he gained the RCVS Certificate in Equine Practice. After a year locuming in UK equine practice and a stud season in New Zealand he arrived in Maids Moreton.
Jane Nixon
Jane Nixon MA VetMB BSc MRCVS
Qualifing at Cambridge in 1978, Jane worked initially in mixed practice and then developed the equine side of Stewart Hastie’s practice before becoming principal partner in 1988. She formed Nixon Equine Vets dedicated equine practice with Stewart in 2005. With 25+ years experience, her key interest is the performance horse. Involved in mare & stallion grading throughout the UK & Europe for 20 years, Jane recently appeared on Horse & Country TVin her rold as Consultant Veterinarian to the BEF Futurity Young Horse Evaluation Scheme. Jane was recently voted onto the SHB GB Council.
